| The method and the teaching
The third and fourth of the eight stages mentioned by Patanjali, asana (postural practice) and pranayama (control of vital energy), are examined particularly thoroughly in the method. Intensity and rigour are two important characteristics. The teaching is given by qualified teachers by means of weekly classes, workshops and training courses. Several levels and different groups are on offer so as to provide options adapted to individual needs: beginners, intermediate and advanced, as well as classes for children, pregnant women, the elderly, and special cases.
